Description

Bravecto Spot-On for Cats 13.7–27.5 lbs (Purple) — 3 Months of Flea & Paralysis Tick Protection

Bravecto Spot-On for cats delivers long-lasting flea and paralysis tick protection from a single topical application — up to 3 months per dose, far longer than a typical monthly treatment. The Purple pack is formulated for cats weighing 13.7–27.5 lbs (6.25–12.5 kg) — suited to large breeds such as Maine Coons and Ragdolls. Buy genuine MSD Animal Health (Merck) Bravecto without a vet prescription from Smartway Pet Supplies, shipped directly to the USA and Canada.

What Bravecto Spot-On Protects Against

  • Fleas — treats and prevents flea infestations for 3 months, killing fleas within 12 hours and stopping newly emerged fleas before they lay eggs, helping break the flea life cycle and manage flea allergy dermatitis (FAD)
  • Paralysis ticks — protects against paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus) for up to 3 months. Also controls bush ticks
  • Ear mites — treats and controls ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations

Note: standard Bravecto Spot-On covers fleas, paralysis ticks, and ear mites. For added heartworm prevention plus roundworm and hookworm treatment, see Bravecto Plus.

How It Works

The active ingredient, fluralaner, is an isoxazoline that targets the nervous system of fleas and ticks. Applied to the skin, it is absorbed and distributed in the tissue fluid just beneath the surface — when parasites feed, they ingest fluralaner and are killed, with protection maintained for months rather than days.

Why 3-Month Protection Matters

Monthly treatments leave room for lapses — a missed dose, a late refill, a forgotten application date. Bravecto's extended formula keeps your cat protected even when life gets busy, with just four treatments a year for continuous flea and paralysis tick coverage.

How to Apply

  1. Twist the cap to break the seal (do not remove it).
  2. Part the fur at the base of the skull, between the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible — this prevents your cat from licking the site.
  3. Place the tip on the skin and squeeze to apply the full contents in one spot.
  4. Avoid bathing or swimming for 72 hours after application.

Dosing & Safety

  • One tube every 3 months for cats weighing 13.7–27.5 lbs (6.25–12.5 kg)
  • For cats and kittens 9 weeks of age and older, weighing at least 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs)
  • For topical use on cats only — never use dog Bravecto on a cat
  • For paralysis tick control, combine with daily tick searching and removal — no product entirely eliminates the risk of tick paralysis
  • Most common side effects are mild and may include application-site hair loss, itching, or lethargy. Always read and follow the product label.
