Neomax Allwormer Tablets (Brown 50-pack) are an Australian-made, APVMA-approved oral wormer for small dogs and puppies weighing 1.1–11 lbs (0.5–5 kg). One tablet covers all four major intestinal worms in dogs — roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm. The actives are praziquantel and oxibendazole, identical to Drontal Allwormer and Endogard. What Neomax protects your dog against

How Neomax works

Praziquantel is the gold-standard active for tapeworms. It paralyses the tapeworm and breaks down its protective outer layer so it can be digested and passed out of your dog's system — usually within 24 hours of dosing.

Oxibendazole is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole that targets roundworms, hookworms and whipworms. It blocks the worm's ability to absorb glucose, starving the parasite and clearing it from the intestinal tract.

Both actives have been used in veterinary medicine for decades. They're the same two ingredients you'll find in well-known brands like Drontal and Endogard — Neomax is the budget-priced Australian generic, with the same vet-grade efficacy at roughly a third of the cost.

Active ingredients

Each Neomax Brown tablet contains 25 mg praziquantel and 50 mg oxibendazole, dosed for dogs and puppies up to 11 lbs (5 kg).

Safety and side effects

Neomax has a wide safety margin. The actives are well-tolerated in dogs from 2 weeks of age and at least 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg) bodyweight. The most common side effects, when they occur at all, are mild — temporary loose stool or a one-off vomit in the 24 hours after dosing. Important — heartworm cover

Neomax Allwormer covers intestinal worms only. It does not prevent heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis). For complete protection, give Neomax alongside a monthly heartworm preventative such as Valuheart, Heartgard Plus or NexGard Spectra.

For complete parasite protection, pair Neomax with a monthly flea and tick chew (NexGard, Bravecto or Simparica Trio) and a monthly heartworm preventative.
