Description

Bravecto Plus for Cats 13.7–27.5 lbs (Purple) — All-in-One Flea, Tick, Heartworm & Worm Protection

Bravecto Plus for cats is an all-in-one spot-on treatment that protects against fleas, paralysis ticks, heartworm, intestinal worms, and ear mites from a single application. The Purple pack is formulated for cats weighing 13.7–27.5 lbs (6.25–12.5 kg) — suited to large breeds such as Maine Coons and Ragdolls. Buy genuine MSD Animal Health (Merck) Bravecto Plus without a vet prescription from Smartway Pet Supplies, shipped directly to the USA and Canada.

What Bravecto Plus Protects Against

  • Fleas — treats and prevents flea infestations for 3 months, killing fleas within 12 hours and stopping newly emerged fleas before they lay eggs, helping break the flea life cycle and manage flea allergy dermatitis (FAD)
  • Paralysis ticks — kills paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus) for 10 weeks, with action within 48 hours of attachment. Also controls bush ticks
  • Heartworm disease — prevents heartworm for 3 months per dose. There is no approved treatment for heartworm in cats, so prevention is essential
  • Intestinal worms — treats and controls roundworm and hookworm
  • Ear mites — treats and controls ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations

Two Active Ingredients in One Dose

Bravecto Plus combines fluralaner, an isoxazoline that kills fleas and ticks through their nervous system, with moxidectin, a macrocyclic lactone that prevents heartworm and treats intestinal roundworms, hookworms, and ear mites. Applied to the skin, both are absorbed and distributed in the tissue fluid just beneath the surface, so parasites are killed when they feed.

How Often to Apply

For continuous flea, paralysis tick, and heartworm protection in paralysis tick areas, apply every 2 months. In areas without paralysis ticks, Bravecto Plus may be applied every 3 months for flea and heartworm cover. Year-round use is recommended to prevent flea populations building up in your home.

Why Cat Owners Choose Bravecto Plus

  • The most complete single-dose cover — fleas, paralysis ticks, heartworm, intestinal worms, and ear mites in one spot-on
  • Long-lasting — far fewer applications than monthly products, so fewer missed doses
  • No tablets — ideal for cats that resist oral medication
  • Effective against fipronil-resistant fleas
  • Genuine product, no prescription required — shipped to the USA and Canada

How to Apply

  1. Twist the cap to break the seal (do not remove it).
  2. Part the fur at the base of the skull, between the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible — this prevents your cat from licking the site.
  3. Place the tip on the skin and squeeze to apply the full contents in one spot.
  4. Avoid bathing or swimming for 72 hours after application.

Dosing & Safety

  • One tube for cats weighing 13.7–27.5 lbs (6.25–12.5 kg), applied every 2–3 months as above
  • For cats and kittens 9 weeks of age and older, weighing at least 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs)
  • For topical use on cats only — never use dog Bravecto on a cat
  • For paralysis tick control, combine with daily tick searching and removal — no product entirely eliminates the risk of tick paralysis
  • Most common side effects are mild and may include application-site hair loss, lethargy, or hypersalivation. Always read and follow the product label.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy Bravecto Plus for cats without a prescription?
Yes. Smartway Pet Supplies ships from Australia, where Bravecto can be sold without a prescription. Order online and have genuine product delivered to your US or Canadian address. See our guide on buying Bravecto without a vet prescription.

How long does one dose last?
Bravecto Plus protects against fleas and heartworm for 3 months and paralysis ticks for 10 weeks. In paralysis tick areas, re-dose every 2 months to maintain continuous tick cover.

What's the difference between Bravecto and Bravecto Plus?
Standard Bravecto Spot-On covers fleas and paralysis ticks (plus ear mites) for up to 3 months. Bravecto Plus adds heartworm prevention and intestinal worm treatment. See our Bravecto for cats complete guide.

Does my indoor cat need it?
Yes. Mosquitoes that transmit heartworm enter homes, and fleas travel indoors on people and other pets. Year-round protection is recommended regardless of lifestyle.
